Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Procurement Engineer role based in Cairo. The Mechanical Procurement Engineer will manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for mechanical materials, equipment, and services, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of high-quality components. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and issuing Requests for Quotation (RFQs), analyzing supplier offers, negotiating terms, and issuing purchase orders in line with project specifications and company policies. The role involves evaluating and monitoring suppliers, coordinating closely with engineering, planning, and finance teams, and maintaining accurate procurement records and reports. The Mechanical Procurement Engineer will also track delivery schedules, resolve supply issues, and support continuous improvement of procurement processes to optimize cost, quality, and lead times.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in supplier management, including Supplier Evaluation and performance monitoring.Hands-on experience with procurement documentation and processes, including Request for Quotation (RFQ) preparation and Purchase Orders management.Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating technical and commercial offers, comparing bids, and supporting data-driven decisions.Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders and negotiating with external suppliers.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.1+ Years Experience in mechanical procurement within construction, manufacturing, or industrial projects is preferred.Familiarity with ERP or procurement software and basic understanding of contract terms and Incoterms.Ability to work on-site in Cairo, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines with attention to detail.Commitment to ethical sourcing, compliance with company policies, and continuous improvement of procurement practices.
