Operations Engineer - Enterprise Command CenterThe Enterprise Command Center (ECC) is Millennium’s first line of defense against infrastructure disruptions, production incidents, and service-impacting failures. The team is responsible for reacting quickly, efficiently, and effectively to maximize system uptime and minimize business and trading impact.In this role, you will monitor and support a broad technology estate spanning compute (Linux/Unix and Windows), monitoring, databases, storage, networking and more. You will troubleshoot infrastructure issues, fulfill operational requests, coordinate incident response, and help improve the reliability and efficiency of production support processes.This role also provides exposure to the practical use of AI in operations, including using AI-assisted tools to support alert triage, accelerate investigation, improve incident response workflows, and help build internal tooling and automation. The ideal candidate is operationally strong, technically curious, and excited about using emerging technologies to improve service quality and team effectiveness.ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure MonitoringContinuously monitor Millennium’s technology environment to proactively identify or respond to issues.Assess alerts and events to determine impact, urgency, and appropriate escalation pathsInfrastructure OperationsTroubleshoot and resolve issues across Millennium’s IT infrastructure.Execute scheduled operational tasks and fulfill ad hoc service requests.Collaborate with local and global teams to maintain awareness of production environment health.Create, update, and maintain detailed runbooks, escalation procedures, and operational documentation.Incident ManagementCoordinate and drive technical teams toward timely incident resolution.Manage responses to infrastructure and trading-related outages.Lead or support incident bridge calls and provide clear stakeholder communications during service events.Ensure incidents, actions, and resolutions are accurately documented in ITSM tools.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve processes, workflow efficiency, and service quality.Review existing operational practices and recommend enhancements to strengthen support effectiveness.Qualifications/Skills RequiredUnderstanding of networking concepts; Cisco knowledge or certification is helpful but not required.Operational experience with Linux and Windows environments.General understanding of core infrastructure components and topology.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and ownership of assigned work.Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving, high-pressure, and constantly changing environment.High sense of urgency and adaptability to new responsibilities.Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support colleagues.Preferred QualificationsDegree in Information Technology or a related discipline.Experience using infrastructure monitoring tools.Exposure to incident management, crisis response, or production support in a complex environment.Schedule RequirementsPublic holiday rotation coverage is required.Weekend coverage is required.
