Brightiom Law supports both multinational corporations and emerging businesses, acting as a trusted strategic partner throughout their legal journey.Paralegal & Legal SecretaryLocation: Cairo, EgyptPosition SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Paralegal & Legal Secretary to support our lawyers in corporate, commercial, and cross-border legal matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for legal document preparation, document management, office administration, client communications, and maintaining accurate legal records. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal SupportPrepare, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, agreements, memoranda, correspondence, powers of attorney, board resolutions, and corporate documents.Maintain physical and electronic legal files in accordance with the firm's filing system.Assist lawyers with document management, due diligence exercises, and legal research as required.Track deadlines and maintain document version control.Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and firm information.Document Management & FilingPrepare filing-ready legal and corporate documents for review by lawyers.Organize and maintain physical and electronic client and matter files.Scan, copy, print, bind, and archive legal documents.Ensure all documents are properly named, indexed, and stored in the firm's document management system.Maintain registers of original documents, executed agreements, powers of attorney, corporate records, and legal correspondence.Monitor filing deadlines and prepare document packages for submission by lawyers or external messengers.Coordinate with couriers and office assistants regarding the dispatch and receipt of legal documents.Retrieve and organize documents promptly upon request.Administrative & Secretarial DutiesManage lawyers' calendars, meetings, and appointments.Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.Draft routine letters, emails, and other communications.Answer telephone calls professionally and direct inquiries appropriately.Arrange meetings, travel, and conference calls when required.Maintain office filing systems and provide general administrative support.Client CommunicationsCommunicate professionally with clients and counterparties by telephone and email.Draft professional correspondence in Arabic and English.Coordinate meetings and follow up on outstanding matters.Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a law firm or legal department.Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English.Experience with legal document preparation, document management, and law firm filing systems is preferred.Must be a resident of Maadi, Mokattam, New Cairo, or within a reasonable commuting distance of the firm's office.Key SkillsStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Fast and accurate Arabic and English typing.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing legal documents.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Experience using AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot) is an advantage.Personal AttributesProfessional appearance and demeanor.High ethical standards and integrity.Reliable, proactive, and dependable.Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.Positive attitude and willingness to learn.Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Client-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
