Company Description Merqah Foundation (مؤسسة مرقاة) is a charitable organization dedicated to advancing community well-being and meeting essential needs across Egypt. Established in July 2018 under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the foundation delivers a wide range of social support services, including water connections, housing repairs, debt relief, and support for orphans and low-income families. Merqah also provides medical care, surgeries, and assistive devices for individuals with limited financial means, as well as food programs and small income-generating projects. In addition, the foundation supports education through a nursery and small school in Al-Ayyat and offers various forms of household and marriage support for families in need. The main office is located at 23 Al-Nahda Street, Al-Sarayat Al-Maadi, Cairo.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Pharmacist will dispense medications safely and accurately according to prescriptions, verify dosages, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies. The role includes counseling beneficiaries on proper medication use, potential side effects, and storage, with clear and compassionate communication tailored to different literacy levels. The Pharmacist will review medication histories, identify interactions or contraindications, and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize treatment plans. Daily responsibilities also include managing inventory, monitoring stock levels and expiration dates, organizing and labeling medications, and ensuring secure storage. The Pharmacist will maintain accurate records, support reporting for donations and medical aid programs, and contribute to health awareness initiatives and outreach activities as needed.QualificationsValid Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution and current license to practice as a Pharmacist in Egypt (or eligibility to obtain one).Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and safe dispensing practices.Experience in community or hospital pharmacy; prior work with NGOs, charitable organizations, or low-resource settings is an advantage.Excellent patient counseling skills, including the ability to explain medication use clearly and respectfully to people from diverse backgrounds.Proficiency in maintaining accurate pharmacy records, managing inventory, and using basic digital tools or pharmacy software.
