The college emphasizes practical, real-world English usage alongside strong grammatical foundations.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Placement Tester role based in Ad-Duqqi. The Placement Tester will assess incoming learners’ English proficiency through written, oral, and listening tests, and assign appropriate course levels based on standardized criteria. The role involves administering and scoring placement tests, conducting brief one-to-one interviews, and documenting results accurately in college systems. The Placement Tester will collaborate with academic and admissions teams to ensure learners are placed in classes that match their abilities and goals. Additional responsibilities include updating test materials as needed, providing feedback on placement trends, and supporting occasional orientation sessions or information meetings for new learners.QualificationsStrong English language proficiency, with excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and listening comprehension.Experience in language assessment, testing, or English language teaching, preferably in a college or training center environment.Ability to conduct clear, structured oral interviews and evaluate spoken English objectively and consistently.Comfort with basic administrative tasks, including accurate data entry, record keeping, and use of standard office or student-information software.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a learner-centered and respectful approach to diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to apply standardized criteria when assigning levels.Bachelor’s degree in English, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field; relevant teaching or testing certifications (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) are an advantage.Ability to work on-site in Ad-Duqqi and collaborate with academic and administrative teams in a fast-paced educational setting.
