Position: Planning Engineer / PlannerLocation: Belgrade, Serbia (Belgrade Waterfront)Project: Residential Development – Main Contractor MobilizationExperience Level: 7–9 yearsEmployer: Confidential Main Contractor (via A2ML Recruiting)Monthly Net Salary 2000 euro + accommodation and transportation provided by the employer About the RoleA leading main contractor is mobilizing on site for a major residential development at Belgrade Waterfront and is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer / Planner to join the project team. This is a full planning scope role covering the project from mobilization through to completion, requiring a hands-on professional with a strong track record across multiple residential developments. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting on the project master schedule, ensuring alignment between design, procurement, and construction activities, and providing early warning of schedule risks to the project leadership team.Key Responsibilities• Develop and maintain the project master schedule, baseline programs, and short-term look-ahead schedules from mobilization through project close-out• Prepare and update construction sequencing for residential building works (structure, façade, MEP, fit-out) in a logical, resource-loaded format• Monitor progress against baseline, identify variances, and produce recovery/mitigation plans• Prepare monthly, weekly, and ad-hoc progress reports for internal management and client/consultant reporting• Integrate subcontractor programs into the overall project schedule and monitor subcontractor performance against agreed milestones• Conduct schedule risk analysis and support delay analysis/claims documentation as required• Liaise with design, procurement, commercial, and site teams to ensure planning data reflects actual project status• Support resource and productivity analysis (labor, plant, materials) against program requirements• Attend and contribute to progress meetings, providing clear program status updates• Maintain document control standards for all planning deliverables in line with company and client proceduresCandidate Requirements• 7–9 years of planning/scheduling experience within the construction industry• Proven experience on multiple residential development projects, ideally including high-rise or mixed-use residential works• Prior experience working for a main contractor (not consultancy-only or client-side experience)• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 (essential); MS Project knowledge is a plus• Experience mobilizing planning systems and reporting structures for a project from an early stage• Solid understanding of construction sequencing, methods, and interfaces across civil, structural, MEP, and finishing works• Experience with progress measurement, S-curves, resource loading, and earned value concepts• Familiarity with delay analysis techniques (e.g., TIA, windows analysis) is an advantage• Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related field• Strong written and spoken English; knowledge of Serbian is an advantage given the local site team and subcontractor base• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present planning data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders• Willingness to be based full-time on site in Belgrade
