Through Aqualia Intech, our engineering and technology division, we deliver advanced desalination and water treatment projects across international markets.We are currently looking for a Procurement Engineer to join our team on a major desalination project located in Marsa Matruh, Egypt. This position offers the opportunity to work within a highly technical EPC environment, supporting the successful delivery of a critical infrastructure project that will contribute to long-term water security in the region.Responsibilities: Preparation of project purchasing documents, including purchase orders for materials, equipment, services, and construction subcontracts.Manage all aspects of subcontract administration, from bidder prequalification through negotiation, award, and contract execution.Support procurement and subcontracting strategies through risk assessment, mitigation planning, and market analysis.Monitor procurement activities against project schedules and milestones, ensuring timely delivery of equipment, materials, and services.Maintain accurate procurement progress tracking and reporting through project procurement matrices and control systems.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors while identifying opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiencies.Review supplier quotations, commercial proposals, invoices, and contract documentation to ensure contractual compliance and cost control.Develop supplier performance metrics, monitor supplier performance, and implement improvement actions when required.Support engineering, construction, planning, and project controls teams in the preparation and execution of procurement plans.Maintain and continuously update the approved vendor database and supplier qualification process.Prepare supplier performance and benchmarking reports based on quality, delivery performance, technical compliance, and commercial competitiveness.Identify market trends, procurement risks, and supply chain constraints that may impact project execution.Requirements:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.Experience:6–10 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Material Planning, or Subcontract Administration within EPC, construction, industrial, infrastructure, water, desalination, or energy projects.Experience procuring mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, process, or construction-related packages is highly valued.Previous experience working on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects will be considered a strong advantage.Technical Skills:Experience with ERP systems and procurement management tools.Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract administration, supplier evaluation, and subcontract management.Solid analytical and financial capabilities, including cost analysis and procurement reporting.Languages: Professional level of English (minimum B2).Personal CompetenciesStrong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment.What We Offer:Full-time positionPermanent contractCompetitive salary aligned with the candidate’s profile and experienceContinuous training and developmentEqual OpportunitiesAqualia is committed to equality and work-life balance.
