Job Title: Procurement Officer – Flowers.Department: Supply Chain.Location: New Cairo,Egypt.Job Purpose:The Procurement Officer – Flowers is responsible for sourcing fresh flowers and ensuring their timely availability across Floward’s operations. The role supports supplier management, contract execution, and procurement planning for perishable goods. It requires a strong focus on quality control, cost-effectiveness, and compliance, while collaborating with internal teams to align flower sourcing with business needs and seasonal demand.Key Responsibilities:Flower Sourcing & Procurement: Procure fresh flowers as per business requirements, maintaining quality, delivery, and price standards.Support negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive and consistent supply terms.Assist in developing sourcing strategies by analyzing market conditions, vendor capabilities, and seasonal trends.Operational Procurement & Compliance: Execute the procurement cycle: raise purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure documentation is accurate and audit-ready.Ensure procurement activities are aligned with internal controls and policy standards.Work with demand planners or fulfillment teams to forecast flower needs and update procurement plans.Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:Partner with internal teams to understand specifications and seasonal product requirements.Communicate with suppliers regularly to monitor supply timelines and quality consistency.Report on procurement status, challenges, and supplier performance to the Lead – Flower Procurement.Process Efficiency & Inventory Monitoring:Contribute to improving procurement workflows and reducing flower spoilage or overstocking.Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and delivery accuracy.Participate in regular reviews of supplier performance and price competitiveness.Skills and Qualifications: Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Experience:2–4 years of procurement experience, preferably in perishable goods (flowers, agriculture, or FMCG).Experience in sourcing, PO management, vendor communications, and ERP systems.Technical Skills:Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.Familiarity with procurement and inventory systems (e.g., MS Dynamics or SAP).Soft Skills:Excellent organizational and coordination abilities.Clear communicator with attention to accuracy.Comfortable working in fast-paced and time-sensitive procurement environments.About Floward :Floward Life PageFloward CorporateFounded in 2017, Floward is an online flowers and gifting company; we pride ourselves in creating a seamless experience for our customers and making sending flowers and gifts as enjoyable as receiving them.
