# Job Purpose

The Product Category Specialist will own the end-to-end performance of specific dental and medical product portfolios

On our e-commerce platform. You will be responsible for sourcing the right assortment, managing supplier relationships, optimizing digital catalog health, and implementing pricing strategies to drive GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) and profit growth in the Egyptian market.

# Key Responsibilities

1. Assortment & Vendor Management

* Sourcing: Identify and onboard key local distributors and international dental/medical brands relevant to the Egyptian market.

* Supplier Relations: Negotiate commercial terms, cost prices, exclusive bundles, and supply chain timelines with vendors.

* Stock Availability: Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure high fulfillment rates and minimize "out of stock" scenarios on high-demand dental consumables.

2. E-Commerce Merchandising & Catalog Health

* Data Accuracy: Ensure all products have precise medical/dental specifications, proper expiration dates where applicable, and compliant regulatory details.

* Onboarding Automation: Streamline the process for uploading new SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) with accurate images, descriptions, and categorization.

* Search Optimization: Optimize product titles and tags so dentists and medical professionals can easily find specific tools or materials using dental terminology.

3. Pricing & Commercial Strategy

* Market Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing across traditional medical hubs (like El-Kasr El-Aini or specialized dental distributors) and other digital platforms.

* Dynamic Pricing: Implement promotional pricing, quantity discounts for large clinics, and seasonal campaigns to maximize margins while staying competitive.

* Campaign Collaboration: Work with Marketing to push low-rotation stock or highlight high-margin categories via newsletters, app push notifications, and targeted B2B campaigns.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Criteria Requirements

# Education

Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Dentistry, Pharmacy, or a related commercial/business field.

# Experience

2-4 years of experience in Category Management, B2B Procurement, or Product Management—ideally within e-commerce or the medical/dental distribution sector in Egypt.

Industry Knowledge Deep understanding of dental clinic needs, medical consumables, and familiarity with top dental manufacturing brands.

# Analytical Skills

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and data-driven decision-making.

Languages Fluent in Arabic and professional proficiency in English.

* The "Dentist's Mindset": Ability to understand the specific pain points of an Egyptian dentist (e.g., material shelf-life, authenticity of biomaterials, delivery speed to clinics).
