As we continue to scale our manufacturing capabilities, we are seeking an experienced Production Engineer specializing in precision sheet metal fabrication to join our team.Position OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Production Engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will oversee, optimize, and streamline our sheet metal production lines—ensuring our seismic bracing, framing, and containment systems are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Optimization: Analyze, design, and optimize sheet metal manufacturing processes (punching, laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly) to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.Production Planning: Collaborate with design and scheduling teams to translate engineering drawings (CAD/SolidWorks) into actionable manufacturing steps, determining the best nesting and tooling strategies.Quality & Compliance: Ensure all sheet metal components meet strict structural, seismic, and industry compliance standards through rigorous quality control processes.Tooling & Equipment Management: Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machinery (fiber lasers, press brakes, CNC punches) and specialized fabrication tooling.Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives to minimize cycle times, reduce scrap material, and improve overall factory throughput.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Design, Procurement, and Quality Assurance to resolve manufacturing bottlenecks and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a highly related technical field.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a sheet metal manufacturing or fabrication environment.Technical Skills:Deep understanding of sheet metal properties, bend allowances, tolerances, and welding techniques (TIG/MIG/Spot).Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and CNC programming software (e.g., TruTops, AP100, or equivalent nesting software).Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with manufacturing structural/mechanical components; experience with seismic restraints, heavy duty brackets, or industrial framing is a massive plus.Methodologies: Practical experience applying Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and root-cause analysis (8D, Fishbone) in a production environment.Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track ability to lead shop-floor technicians.What We OfferCompetitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Opportunities to work on high-profile infrastructure projects globally.A collaborative, safety-first engineering culture dedicated to structural innovation.How to ApplyIf you have the sheet metal expertise and a passion for engineering resilient solutions, we want to hear from you.
