Production Manager —Agriculture Commodities (Dates & Healthy Snacks)

Oversee daily production operations for dates and healthy snack lines to meet volume, quality, and cost targets.Plan, schedule, and optimize production workflow, ensuring on-time delivery and efficient resource use.Lead, coach, and develop production team (operators, supervisors); foster a safety-first and performance-driven culture.Implement and maintain food safety and quality systems (HACCP, ISO, BRC, or equivalent) and ensure regulatory compliance.Troubleshoot production issues, reduce downtime, and implement corrective/preventive actions.Maintain production KPIs: yield, OEE, rejects, throughput, labor productivity, and cost per unit.Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, quality assurance, and R&D for new product introductions and process improvement.Manage inventory of packaging and raw materials at production level and ensure proper storage of perishable ingredients.Prepare production reports, forecasts, and budgets; recommend capital investments for process improvements. Minimum 8 years’ experience in food production or processing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role. Experience with dates and/or healthy snack products is strongly preferred.Strong leadership and people-management skills; experience building high-performing teams.Solid technical knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP mandatory; familiarity with ISO/BRC preferred).Demonstrated experience in process optimization, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma experience is a plus).Proven track record of meeting production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent practical experience accepted.Resident of 6th of October City preferred (candidates from nearby Cairo areas considered).Willingness to work on rotating shifts and handle occasional overtime as production demands.
