QA Automation & Documentation Engineer

transloads.co is building a SaaS platform that helps small and medium-sized logistics businesses simplify and manage their operations. As our product continues to grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented engineer who can help us improve product quality, automate testing, and keep our technical and user documentation accurate as the platform evolves.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with developers, understands how modern web applications are built, and wants to specialize in QA automation, test coverage, documentation automation, and AI-assisted software workflows.What You’ll DoYou’ll work directly with our full-stack developers to help make our software more reliable, easier to test, and easier to document.Responsibilities include:Create, maintain, and improve automated tests for our web applicationBuild test coverage for key user workflows, forms, dashboards, and API integrationsSupport QA processes for new features, bug fixes, and product releasesWrite and maintain test cases, bug reports, acceptance criteria, and release notesHelp automate documentation where possible, including technical notes, user guides, product documentation, and API-related documentationKeep documentation aligned with product changesUse AI tools to assist with test creation, documentation, research, and workflow improvementsWork with developers to identify bugs, edge cases, and usability issues before customers doSupport manual testing when needed, especially for new or changing featuresTrack work and collaborate with the development teamSkills We’re Looking ForWe are especially interested in candidates with experience or strong interest in:Test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or similarWeb application testing for products built with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSSAPI testing using tools such as Postman, Newman, REST clients, or GraphQL testing toolsWriting clear bug reports, test cases, and technical documentationGit and basic developer workflowsMarkdown, documentation tools, or automated documentation generationAI-assisted development or documentation tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex, or similarProject management tools such as Linear, Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or similarStrong attention to detailGood written EnglishNice to have:Experience with SaaS productsExperience in the logistics, freight, trucking, warehousing, rail, or supply chain industryFamiliarity with AWS, Amplify, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar toolsAbility to create screenshots, walkthroughs, help articles, onboarding guides, or customer-facing documentationWho This Role Is Best ForThis is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow in QA automation, documentation automation, and AI-assisted software development workflows.You do not need to be a senior full-stack developer.
