We're a small B2B software team building a data product for the Egyptian market.Our customers use the information we provide to make daily commercial decisions. That means quality is not only whether a button works—it is whether the data is accurate, the reports make sense, and the customer can trust what they receive every morning.Real customers, real revenue, and a product that is still evolving quickly.You'd be our first dedicated QA hire, working closely with engineering and product to define how quality should work across the company.What you'll do• Own quality across the product—from understanding a feature before development starts to validating it before release• Test web applications, dashboards, reports, APIs, and data-driven workflows• Verify that data is accurate, complete, and consistent across different sources and product views• Turn product requirements into clear test cases, edge cases, and acceptance scenarios• Reproduce, document, and prioritize bugs so engineers can act on them quickly• Run regression testing before releases and help us build a reliable release process• Investigate customer-reported issues and determine whether the problem comes from the interface, business logic, data, or an external source• Help introduce test automation where it provides real value—not automation for its own sake• Build and maintain the QA documentation, test plans, and quality standards that the team will use as it growsWhat we offer• Real ownership—you will define the QA process rather than inherit a large existing one• Direct access to product and engineering, with no layers between finding an issue and fixing it• A short feedback loop: test it, ship it, see how customers use it, and improve it• The opportunity to work on quality beyond the interface, including data accuracy, reporting, and customer trust• Use AI however you want. What we need• 2+ years of experience testing web-based software products• Strong manual testing skills and the ability to think beyond the obvious happy path• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or similar• Comfortable querying a database using SQL to validate data and investigate issues• Able to write clear bug reports with reproducible steps, expected behaviour, actual behaviour, and supporting evidence• Experience with regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing• Good written English and fluent Arabic• Comfortable working in an early-stage environment where requirements may change and not every process already exists• Strong attention to detail without losing sight of what matters to the customerNice to have• Worked on a data, analytics, reporting, or dashboard product• Experience testing data pipelines, scheduled jobs, or ETL workflows• Experience with automated testing using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a similar tool• Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript• Experience testing products that depend on third-party data sources or APIs• Understanding of basic data-quality concepts such as completeness, duplication, freshness, and consistency
