Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing quantity take-offs, evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring cost-effective project delivery while maintaining quality standards.ResponsibilitiesPrepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications.Develop and manage project budgets and cost plans.Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender documentation.Evaluate contractor, subcontractor, and supplier quotations.Monitor project costs, variations, and change orders.Prepare interim payment applications and certify subcontractor payments.Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project expenses.Review contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Prepare cost reports and present financial updates to project management.Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and clients.Assist in final account preparation and project closeout.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.1-3 years of experience in quantity surveying within construction projects.Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and contract administration.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, CCS, or similar).Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is an advantage.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management is a plus.Experience with commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
