#Job Summary:The R&D Manager – Grapes & Blueberries is responsible for leading research and development initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and sustainability in grape and blueberry production. The role focuses on developing innovative agricultural practices, conducting field trials, and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance crop yield, disease resistance, and operational efficiency. The R&D Manager works closely with farm management, agronomists, and technical teams to apply modern cultivation techniques and continuous improvement strategies.#Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage research programs related to grape and blueberry cultivation.Design and conduct field trials to evaluate new varieties, fertilizers, irrigation techniques, and pest control methods.Develop innovative strategies to improve crop yield, quality, and sustainability.Identify and test new grape and blueberry varieties suitable for local growing conditions.Improve crop resistance to diseases, pests, and environmental stress.Optimize pruning, training systems, and crop management techniques.Identify and test new grape and blueberry varieties suitable for local growing conditions.Improve crop resistance to diseases, pests, and environmental stress.Optimize pruning, training systems, and crop management techniques.Work closely with farm managers, agronomists, irrigation teams, and production teams.Provide technical recommendations to improve farming practices.Support farm operations with research-based solutions.Promote sustainable farming practices and resource efficiency.Optimize water usage, soil health, and fertilizer programs.Ensure compliance with agricultural quality standards and certifications.Prepare detailed reports on research activities, trial results, and improvement plans.Present findings and recommendations to senior management.Maintain proper documentation for all R&D projects. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.Additional certifications or research experience in viticulture or berry production are preferred.+7 years of experience in agricultural research, crop production, or agronomy.Experience working with grape and/or blueberry cultivation is highly preferred.Experience in managing field trials and agricultural research programs.
