Our culture is built around speed, precision, and design integrity, with an emphasis on execution that meets the expectations of serious businesses and high value clients.As our portfolio of digital products continues to grow, we are expanding Recast Designs our in-house content and growth function responsible for turning the products and platforms we build into scroll-stopping, high performing social content across Instagram, TikTok, and other short-form channels.We are hiring a video-focused content creator who lives and breathes short-form, understands what makes content spread, and can consistently produce polished, on-trend videos that drive attention to our work.The Role: Remote Social Media Video Editor & Content CreatorAs a Social Media Video Editor & Content Creator at Recast Designs working under Recast Media, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, editing, and packaging viral-oriented short-form video content for our range of digital products and client projects on a continuous basis.This is a fast paced, output-heavy role for someone who can think like a creative strategist and execute like a professional editor. You will research trends, write scripts and hooks, edit footage into sharp, engaging reels, create motion graphics and on-screen visuals, and write captions then package everything cleanly and hand it off for posting.You will not be required to shoot content yourself, but you must be highly skilled at working with existing footage, product recordings, screen captures, stock assets, and graphics to build videos that feel native to each platform. You will move efficiently between different brands and industries while maintaining a high standard of creativity, polish, and relevance to what is trending right now.Core ResponsibilitiesViral Content Research: Continuously research trends, formats, audio, and hooks across Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other short-form platforms, and translate them into content ideas tailored to our products.Scripting & Concepting: Write video scripts, hooks, and content angles that capture attention in the first few seconds and are built to perform.Video Editing: Edit raw footage, screen recordings, product demos, and supplied assets into fast-paced, high-retention short-form videos with strong pacing, cuts, and sound design.Motion Graphics & Visuals: Create clean, modern motion graphics, text animations, transitions, and on-screen elements that elevate production quality.Continuous Delivery: Handle a steady flow of content requests across multiple products and client projects with speed, organization, and consistency.Captions & Copy: Write platform-appropriate captions, hooks, and hashtags that support reach and engagement.Packaging & Handoff: Deliver final, ready-to-post videos with correct specs, formats, and any supporting copy, organized for smooth posting.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the founder, project leads, and any on-camera talent to align content with product goals and brand voice.Technical RequirementsEditing Tools: Strong proficiency in professional editing software is required (Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut/DaVinci Resolve). Proficiency in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics is required.Graphics: Working proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is required. Experience with Adobe Illustrator is considered a strong plus.Short-Form Mastery: Proven ability to produce vertical, high-retention content specifically formatted for Reels and TikTok.Trend Fluency: Deep, current understanding of viral formats, trending audio, hooks, and platform-specific best practices.Sound & Pacing: Strong instinct for rhythm, timing, music syncing, and sound design that keeps viewers watching.Asset Handling: Ability to work confidently with supplied footage, screen recordings, stock assets, and product visuals without needing to shoot content yourself.Workflow: Comfortable working in a collaborative remote environment with organized task management and clear communication.QualificationsLocation: Must be based in Egypt and available to work remotely for Recast Designs during working hours.Experience: 1–3 years of professional video editing and short-form content creation experience, with a portfolio of published or high-performing work.Creative Sensitivity: Strong visual taste and sharp attention to pacing, typography, motion, and detail.Versatility: Comfortable creating content for different industries, brand styles, and product types.Speed with Quality: Able to move fast and produce a high volume of content without sacrificing polish.Trend Instinct: Can independently spot and act on emerging trends before they peak.Autonomy: Capable of managing assigned content tasks and delivering with minimal supervision.Communication: Strong English communication skills for remote collaboration.PreferredExperience creating content for SaaS products, apps, or startups.A track record of videos that have gone viral or achieved strong reach and engagement.Familiarity with growth-focused content strategy and hook-driven storytelling.Basic understanding of how digital products (websites, apps, platforms) work.Experience with branding, visual identity, or marketing design.Experience in a fast-paced agency or high-output content environment.Operational StandardsWe work with high expectation products and clients who value speed, quality, and professionalism.
