The hospital offers healthcare professionals opportunities to develop skills across various specialties and emergency care services.Role Description The Scrub Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in El Mansoura, working within the operating room and surgical units. The role involves preparing the operating room, arranging sterile instruments and equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for each procedure. The Scrub Nurse assists the surgical team during operations by passing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and monitoring sterile fields. Daily tasks include supporting pre-operative and post-operative workflows, collaborating with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals, and documenting nursing interventions in accordance with hospital policies. The role also includes participating in emergency surgeries, adhering to infection control standards, and contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.Qualifications Strong foundation in Nursing practice, including patient assessment, perioperative care, and adherence to clinical protocols.Knowledge of Medicine and surgical principles relevant to emergency and elective procedures.Experience or familiarity with Surgery and Operating Room procedures, including sterile techniques and instrument handling.Exposure to Orthopedic Surgery and other surgical specialties commonly managed in an emergency hospital setting.Valid nursing license/registration and completion of an accredited nursing program.Previous operating room or scrub nurse experience in hospital settings preferred.Ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.Commitment to patient safety, infection control, continuous learning, and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
