For more information, visit us at www.amideast.org.Position DescriptionThe Senior Accountant is responsible for the preparation of clear, thorough, accurate and correct accounting documents in compliance with all Amideast accounting and financial procedures and policies using computer software applications. The Finance Supervisor works closely with the Finance Manager and other accountants to ensure that all financial documents meet the level of accuracy and precision required.ResponsibilitiesReceive requests for invoices from units, prepare the invoices and arrange the distribution of the invoices to the clients Handle the data entry for all the accounts receivable vouchers and receivables collection vouchers Responsible for customer service daily sales order review and entry on the Amideast Accounting System.Monitor daily cash deposits in the bank Responsible for corporate clients’ invoices according to contractual terms Monitor corporate clients’ receivables status and follow up on collectionsResponsible for petty cash expensesResponsible for working with the Sales and Programs Division for resolving any problem in A/R invoices in order to speed up the collection processConduct a monthly physical count of the inventory storage in the main, customer service and compare the records with the Bookkeeper report Responsible for submitting the updated monthly inventory sheet to Regional Finance Team after reviewing with the Finance Senior Lead and the Finance ManagerAssist in preparation for the monthly cash forecastResponsible for backing up for the Cashiers in case of absence Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial report.Qualifications & Skills RequiredBachelor’s degree in accounting6 - 7 years in the same fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced ExcelKnowledge of computerized Accounting Systems and other software Accounting applicationsExcellent command of English LanguageMaintains high personal work standardsBalances personal priorities and work demandsEncourages others with enthusiasmHas knowledge of the department’s direction and understands why this knowledge is importantSpends time learning from team members and others to acquire knowledge or learn specific skills that have been identified as important or relevant to the Finance unitUse decent language and an appropriate tone in communicating with othersContributes to building an environment of trust and teamworkTakes actions that demonstrate loyaltyShows respect and comply with the company policies, standards and proceduresOrganizes and schedules own assignments to meet known priorities and critical work deadlinesResponds in a timely, effective and efficient way to customers’ requestsResolves customer complaints on timeTakes personal responsibility for delivery of results in a timely and high-quality mannerShows a basic understanding of business goalsConstantly improves own contribution to quality of serviceMakes an effort to remain up to date in own specialist areaPreferredTOEIC score is minimum of 700 or equivalent.This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the incumbent will perform other reasonable business-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other managers when necessary.
