Job description: Purpose of the Job Focal Point of Contact with clients for freight related requests. Follow the end-to-end customer profile and maintain existing business. Procure the best rates from the airlines after identifying the best solution for the customer. Job Description Develop and implement comprehensive air freight solutions tailored to customer needs. Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Provide support to clients regarding claims, payment issues, and pending shipments. Oversee end-to-end follow-up on the shipment lifecycle, ensuring timely updates and resolutions. Collaborate with the sales team to generate quotes for clients and actively pursue business opportunities. Coordinate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth air freight operations. Negotiate rates with carriers, agents, and offices to secure competitive pricing for clients. Achieve overall freight performance targets for assigned customers, driving revenue growth. Report any operational failures to the line manager promptly and keep clients informed. Monitor P&L performance and manage job invoicing processes efficiently. Handle air freight inquiries, quotations, and coordination with local and international clients. Drive improvements in on-time delivery performance for air freight services. Ensure 100% adoption of Cargowise and maintain the integrity of milestone status updates. Manage airline relationships at the station level to enhance buying power and lead negotiations on ad hoc or contracted rates. Coordinate with the pricing desk for RFQs, projects, and tenders as required. Job Requirements - Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in logistics field will be preferable. 2-3 years relevant working experience freight forwarder (Export Air freight Sector is a must). Minimum 2 year experience with directly handling airline bookings. Good working knowledge in MS Office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel. Knowledge in MS Access is a plus. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel intermediates to advance formulas and macros. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong coordination skills among various work groups and with different levels. Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Proactive team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
