Job SummaryThe Senior AP Accountant is responsible for overseeing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations. The role supports financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced fintech environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, posting, and payment execution.Review and validate invoices against contracts, purchase orders, and approvals.Ensure timely vendor payments via bank transfers, checks, or electronic systems.Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP aging reports.Coordinate with procurement and other departments to ensure proper documentation and approvals.Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, etc.) and company policies.Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP.Assist in audit processes by providing required documentation and reports.Monitor and improve internal controls over AP processes.Mentor junior AP staff and review their work when needed. Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).Good understanding of Egyptian tax laws and financial regulations.Advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Preferred SkillsExperience in fintech, banking, or high-volume transaction environments.Professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Key CompetenciesFinancial accuracy and integrityTime management and organizationProcess improvement mindsetTeam collaboration and leadership
