Senior Category Manager

JOB TITLECategory Senior Manager | MAF Global Solutions | Global Solutions EgyptROLE SUMMARYLeading a team to execute both tactical and strategic sourcing of products and services for all MAF operating companies across various countries within FM Category while ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and plans developed.ROLE PROFILEPartner with the Category Lead to deliver the FM strategic roadmap and annual budget aligned with business needs.Develop and implement sourcing strategies in line with legal, policy, and organizational objectives.Lead complex sourcing activities for new projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.Drive cost savings through consolidation, standardization, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.Manage supplier negotiations and finalize commercial agreements in collaboration with legal teams.Analyze market trends and spend data to identify cost drivers, risks, and opportunities.Build strong supplier relationships, manage performance, and engage stakeholders across OpCos to meet KPIs and SLAs.Lead and develop the procurement team while ensuring successful project delivery aligned with FM category goals.REQUIREMENTS15 years in procurement, including 7–10 years in a similar senior role, with strong expertise in FM category sourcing and large-scale deal negotiations.Proven experience in spend analysis, strategy development, and managing complex sourcing activities, including shared services environments.Proficiency in e-sourcing platforms and ERP systems such as Oracle, Ariba, and Coupa.Deep understanding of procurement best practices, contracts, and local regulations, with the ability to assess legal and business risks.Strong communication, problem-solving, and team management skills, with a customer-focused approach and strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.Bachelor’s degree required, with preferred certifications (MCIPS/CIPS/APICS-CSCP), optional MBA, and fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).WHAT WE OFFERAt Majid Al Futtaim, we’re on a mission to create great moments, to spread happiness, to build, experiences that stay in our memories for a lifetime.
