As an engineer at Implicit, you will work closely with our data science and product teams to build the next-generation AI summarization platforms.As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will: Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure on AWSPartner with product and sales teams to define and implement SLIs, SLOs, and SLAsIdentify and lead initiatives that drive significant cost savings or revenue impactImplement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Kubernetes, Helm, and TerraformOwn and maintain data stores, including capacity planning, monitoring, scaling, clustering, and backup/restore strategiesContinuously improve monitoring and alerting systems to proactively prevent incidentsLead incident response efforts and conduct blameless postmortems to drive continuous improvementBuild and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and frequent deploymentsImprove system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency through automation and observabilityDevelop and maintain infrastructure automation tooling using modern scripting and programming practicesCollaborate closely with engineering teams to improve system design, deployment processes, and operational excellenceImplement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and servicesSupport compliance initiatives, including SOC 2 Type II readiness and audit processesQualifications:4+ years of hands-on industry experience in SRE, DevOps, or related rolesStrong experience with AWS services, including: EKS, RDS Aurora, ECR, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Certificate Manager, Secrets Manager, and CloudTrailSolid experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes)Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting for automationStrong programming/scripting skills in Python and BashExperience with CI/CD systems (Git-based workflows, CircleCI or similar tools)Hands-on experience with Helm charts, including templating and multi-environment deploymentsStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL) and troubleshootingExperience with AWS security best practices (IAM policy design, encryption, VPC isolation, auditing)Strong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishPreferred qualifications, you have experience in:Experience with Karpenter for just-in-time provisioning and cost optimizationFamiliarity with SOC 2 Type II compliance frameworks and audit processesExperience with service mesh technologies such as Istio (traffic management, mTLS)Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as TerraformWhat we offer:Competitive compensation packagesHighest tier social and health insuranceFlexible and open vacation policyFlexible working hoursCertification and learning budgetOur interview process is as follows: A screening call (30 mins).1-2 technical interviews with a member of the Reliability Engineering team (60 mins).Culture interview (60 mins).3 reference calls.
