Join our Engineering team as a Senior Design Engineer I – Electrical Systems Design (MV Switchgear) and help deliver reliable, innovative power distribution solutions. You'll play a key role in designing Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality engineering solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.What will you do?Design and engineer Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear systems in accordance with IEC standards, Schneider Electric standards, and customer specificationsPrepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), general arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOM)Review technical specifications and ensure designs comply with project, safety, quality, and cost requirementsPerform electrical calculations, equipment selection, and protection coordination for MV power distribution systemsCollaborate with project management, manufacturing, procurement, testing, quality, and commissioning teams throughout project executionSupport technical submittals, design reviews, customer clarifications, and provide technical expertise during manufacturing, FAT, and commissioningMentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement and engineering standardization initiativesWhat are the key skills we are looking for?Designing reliable and compliant medium-voltage electrical systemsApplying strong technical expertise in power distributionSelecting and coordinating relays, CTs, VTs, and protection devicesPreparing high-quality engineering drawings and project documentationUsing EPLAN, SEEXP, or equivalent engineering toolsCollaborating across functions to ensure successful project deliveryAnalyzing technical challenges and delivering optimized engineering solutionsDeveloping level; working effectively with customers and cross-functional teamsWhat qualifications will make you successful?Bachelor's degree in electrical engineeringMinimum 5 years of experience in Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear design and electrical power distribution systemsStrong knowledge of IEC standards and electrical engineering principlesExperience preparing SLDs, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationHands-on experience with electrical engineering software such as EPLAN, SEEXP, or equivalentUnderstanding of protection and control systems, relays, CTs, VTs, and busbar systemsExperience supporting project execution, technical submittals, customer interactions, and design reviewsKnowledge of Schneider Electric MV products and solutions is an advantageGood command of English, with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skillsLooking to make an IMPACT with your career?When you are thinking about joining a new team, culture matters.
