The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities. The role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports, and cash flow analyses, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations. The Senior Accountant will oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, support budgeting and forecasting, and monitor expenses and revenues against budgets. The role also involves coordinating with external auditors, ensuring proper documentation, improving internal controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making.Qualifications Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support data-driven management decisions.Solid understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and experience preparing documentation for audits.Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as strong Excel and financial data analysis skills.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and leadership teams.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.Experience in a technology or high-growth company in the MEA region is preferred, along with familiarity with digital or data-driven business models.
