Senior HSE Engineer

About the Company: Legacy, a Hassan Allam Holding company, is responsible for operating the Grand Egyptian Museum.Position Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced Senior HSE Engineer for health, safety, and environmental initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee HSE compliance, conduct inspections, mentor staff, and ensure a safety culture in Legacy.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate HSE activities across Legacy managed sites to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and develop prevention strategies.Monitor and ensure the proper use of PPE, safety signage, and emergency response procedures.Provide guidance and mentorship to diverse contractor's HSE components and site personnel regarding safety practices and procedures.Develop and review HSE plans, procedures, and reports to ensure alignment with company requirements.Coordinate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns for staff and contractors.Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental sustainability.Maintain accurate HSE documentation and reporting for management review.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field.Minimum of [5] years of experience in HSE, preferably within management and development projects.Strong knowledge of local and international HSE standards and regulations.Leadership skills and the ability to influence safety culture.Certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent are highly preferred.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Working Conditions:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.May require working outside of regular hours to monitor site activities.
