Responsibilities:Prepare & review General Layout Drawings, equipment arrangement, above/underground cable raceway design, grounding calculations, grounding grid layout, secondary (equipment) grounding, lightning protection system layout and related calculations, equipment lists, BOQs.Perform Electrical Equipment sizing calculations (MV&LV cables, Transformers, Diesel Generators, Circuit breakers, etc...)Perform grounding grid sizing and analysis calculation.Perform Lightning assessment and layout drawings in accordance with IEC 62305 and NFPA780.Ensure compliance with electrical design requirements, project specifications, and company procedures.Coordinate and liaise with other disciplines (e.g. Civil/ Structural, mechanical) to design electrical installation.Evaluate supplier proposals and select equipment based on technical requirements and project specifications.Review of Supplier Drawings/Calculations including but not limited to protection, Control, and telecommunication systems of the substation.Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and manage resources effectively.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices.Identify any concerns during design process and report to Lead Electrical Engineer.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering – Electrical Power Major. A Higher Degree (Master’s, PhD) is a Plus.5+ years of working experience in Primary design of substations and/or power plants.In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.).Experience in grounding calculation using CDEGS, CYMGRD, or equivalent software.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, etc. 3D modeling experience (e.g., SmartPlant, PDMS, Revit) is a plus.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Experience with international projects and multi-cultural environments is a plus.
