The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meeting all necessary design responsibilities. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Secondary Design Engineer with strong expertise in Protection & Control systems for High Voltage Substations to join our engineering team on major projects across Egypt and the GCC region.Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of Protection & Control schemes for HV substations (132kV / 220kV / 380kV).Prepare and review: Protection schemes (Distance, Differential, Overcurrent, etc.) Protection coordination studies. SLD (related to protection philosophy).Control schematics (AC/DC, interlocking, annunciation).Wiring diagrams & cable schedules.Configure and review protection relays (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider).Develop IEC 61850 architectures (GOOSE, MMS, SCADA integration).Perform relay setting calculations and logic design.Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.Coordinate with Primary, SCADA, Telecom, and Civil teams.Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and utility.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering – Electrical Power Major.From 5 to 7 years of working experience in Secondary design of substations.Provide technical support during tendering stage.Mentor junior engineers and review their deliverables.
