This role will lead product roadmap delivery, drive technical planning, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions while maintaining a strong focus on customer value, product quality, and continuous improvement.What you’ll doOwn and manage the product backlog, defining, prioritising, and communicating a clear product visionTranslate business requirements into technical solutions through close collaboration with development teamsLead sprint planning sessions, ensuring alignment between tasks and product goalsDrive product strategy, balancing technical debt, feature delivery, and customer needsCommunicate progress, risks, and technical challenges with stakeholders in a clear and structured mannerTechnical Guidance & Planning:Ensure technical designs follow best practices and meet customer requirementsCollaborate with technical teams on architecture decisions and tool selectionPromote a strong understanding of product technical needs across the teamFoster innovation and continuous improvement within the product and technical landscapeCoaching & Team Leadership:Guide teams in aligning business priorities with technical deliveryProvide technical mentorship and support to enable effective executionEncourage a collaborative, inclusive team environmentQuality Control:Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews and adherence to development standardsPromote best practices such as unit and integration testingMaintain focus on product maintainability and scalabilityReporting & Communication:Provide regular product and delivery updates to stakeholdersEnsure alignment between business goals and product developmentEscalate risks and challenges proactivelyCommitment to Product Success:Deliver features on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectivesAdapt to evolving requirements and timelines to ensure successful outcomesWho you areAn experienced technical professional with strong expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (Java, Spring Boot)Proficient in design principles such as SOLID and common design patternsSkilled in Microservices Architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)Experienced with RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and Spring ecosystem toolsKnowledgeable in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes)Familiar with caching and performance tuning tools such as Redis and ElasticSearchExposure to big data technologies including Kafka and NoSQL databasesExperienced in testing frameworks including unit, integration, and BDD approachesProduct Ownership Skills:Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and sprint executionAbility to translate business requirements into actionable technical tasksExperience in backlog prioritisation and product lifecycle managementCapable of balancing feature delivery with technical debtExperience & Education:Demonstrated experience in technical roles, including software developmentPrior experience in a product ownership or similar role is beneficialBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldCore Capabilities:Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities effectively and remain composed under pressureProactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvementLeadership and mentoring capability to support team successNot a perfect fit?Concerned you may not meet every requirement?
