Job TitleSenior Tax AccountantEmployment TypeFull-timeWorkplace TypeOn-siteLocationAlexandria EgyptIndustry / FunctionPharmaceutical — Finance / TaxJob DescriptionWe are looking to appoint a Senior Tax Accountant to join the Tax Department within the Finance Sector.The role is responsible for preparing and filing statutory tax returns, managing day-to-day use of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) portal and E-Invoicing system, and representing the company during tax inspections and external audits.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and file monthly VAT returns, ensuring input and output tax are reconciled before deadlinesPrepare the annual Corporate Tax return and supporting schedulesCalculate and file monthly Payroll Tax in line with payroll recordsPrepare and submit Withholding Tax (WHT) returns and issue WHT certificatesManage submissions and records on the ETA portal and E-Invoicing systemRepresent the Tax Department during tax authority inspections and respond to auditor queriesCoordinate with external auditing firms on tax-related documentation and reconciliationsReconcile tax accounts against the general ledger and report to Finance managementMonitor changes in Egyptian tax law and flag compliance risks earlyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting Major)Minimum 3 years of solid experience in tax accountingExcellent knowledge of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) portal and E-Invoicing systemExpertise in preparing VAT, Corporate Tax, Payroll Tax, and Withholding Tax (WHT) returnsProven experience dealing with auditing firms and handling tax inspections/auditsSkills Tax Accounting, VAT, Corporate Tax, Payroll Tax, Withholding Tax (WHT), Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA), E-Invoicing, Tax Audits, Financial Reporting, Reconciliation
