This is a hands-on generalist role spanning the full employee lifecycle, with real scope to grow into broader People initiatives as the business evolves.How you will make an impactOwn end-to-end onboarding and off-boarding, making sure new joiners hit the ground running and leavers exit smoothlyBe the go-to people partner for Cairo and Middle East-based employees (UAE, KSA) - building genuine trust and providing the coaching and guidance that helps people thrive at PayrailsWork closely with our Employer of Record (EoR) partner across the Middle East region, managing employment relationships, local compliance, and documentation in both English and ArabicEnsure full compliance with Egyptian labour law regulations, keeping documentation and processes currentMaintain accurate employee records and keep data up-to-date and compliant in our HRIS - PersonioLead the planning and delivery of weekly and bi–yearly internal events from logistics through to the experience itselfDrive process documentation and actively champion AI and automation across People workflows - constantly asking how things could work better and building the systems that make it happenManage day-to-day office operations, including supplier relationships and facilities coordination for the Cairo hubSupport recruitment activities and coordinate with the Talent team on regional hiringAs the role develops, take on broader People initiatives in partnership with the Berlin team - including performance review cycles, employee engagement programmes, and other projects across the employee lifecycleWhat we are looking forYou have a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or a related fieldYou have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a generalist People or HR role, ideally within a fast-paced, international environmentYou have solid knowledge of Egyptian labour law and experience managing local compliance and employment documentationYou have a genuine interest in AI and automation and how they can be applied to make People processes smarter and more efficientYou are a people person at heart - you build trust easily, communicate with care, and know how to support and coach employees through different situationsYou over-communicate, you are detail-oriented and you are highly organised - you don't let things slip through the cracks, and in this role, this is what makes the biggest differenceYou take ownership; you spot a problem and fix it, and you're always looking for ways to make things work betterYou have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and ArabicWhat we offerHigh impact and high velocity environment with the most talented and ambitious people you will ever work withA chance to shape the story of a company and a category from the ground upReal ownership.
