If you are a builder who wants to set the standard, this is the right moment to join.About the RoleAs a Staff DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of DevOps, platform engineering, and SRE, owning the architecture, reliability strategy, and scalability of our infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.This is a high-impact role where you will define how infrastructure is built, operated, and scaled across the company not just implement it.About Lean Lean has tripled in size over the past twelve months and weʼre on track to triple again next year.What started as the regionʼs pioneering Open Finance platform is evolving into a multi-product infrastructure company powering payments, data, and lending across MENA.We are expanding into new markets, launching new products, and operating at increasing scale and complexity.Weʼve processed billions of dollars in transactions, serve 350+ clients (including Tabby, Tasʼheel, and Hungerstation), and are backed by General Catalyst, Sequoia, and Shorooq.This role is critical in ensuring our infrastructure can scale securely, reliably, and efficiently to support that growth.What You’ll DoDefine and own the infrastructure architecture strategy across hybrid cloud (GCP, OCI, on-prem)Design and evolve Kubernetes platforms for multi-region scalability, resilience, and cost efficiencyEstablish and drive Infrastructure as Code and GitOps standards across all environmentsBuild and scale observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing) to support proactive reliabilityLead efforts to meet and exceed SLA, SLO, and error budget targetsOwn and improve incident management processes, including postmortems and systemic fixesDrive automation strategy across provisioning, scaling, patching, and operationsChampion security, compliance, and reliability best practices (SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks)Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience and platform usabilityMentor engineers and act as a technical leader across DevOps and infrastructure domainsMust-Have Technical Skills8+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE / Platform EngineeringStrong experience designing and operating distributed systems at scaleDeep expertise in:Linux systems and internalsNetworking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, firewalls)Kubernetes (design, operations, and troubleshooting)Terraform (or equivalent IaC tools)Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Go, or similar)Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments (GCP, OCI preferred)Additional Technical ExperienceCI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD)Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)Datastores: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RedisSecurity and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS)Performance optimization in distributed systemsDesired QualificationsExperience in fintech or highly regulated environmentsStrong understanding of multi-region and high-availability architecturesExposure to edge/network platforms (e.g., Cloudflare)Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)Strong documentation and runbook culturePassion for building resilient, scalable infrastructure platformsNB.
