The team is committed to evolving its offerings to match changing market needs and to being a trusted partner in workforce management.Role Description The Steel Design Section Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role leads the steel design team, overseeing the development, review, and approval of structural steel designs, drawings, and calculations for various projects. Daily responsibilities include managing workload and priorities, assigning tasks, and ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. The Steel Design Section Head collaborates closely with project managers, civil and structural engineers, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and optimize design solutions. The role also involves reviewing design documents for quality and constructability, mentoring junior engineers and designers, coordinating with external stakeholders (such as consultants and contractors), and supporting technical proposals, cost estimates, and design presentations. Continuous improvement of design processes, design tools, and team capabilities is an essential part of this position.Qualifications Proficiency in Design Management, including leading design teams, coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.Experience with Visual Design aspects of engineering documentation, such as clear layout of drawings, diagrams, and presentation materials.Strong Product Design capabilities applied to steel structures, including optimizing structural systems for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.Ability to support Branding-related technical materials, such as consistent, professional technical reports, templates, and client-facing design documents.Awareness of Interior Design considerations where steel elements interface with architectural and interior features, ensuring functional and aesthetic integration.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.Significant experience in steel structural design, including use of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., AISC, Eurocode, or equivalent).Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, or similar) and CAD/BIM tools.Demonstrated leadership skills, including team supervision, coaching, and performance management.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work
