Surveying ManagerLocation: Alexandria, - Suez- Minia- Qena- EgyptCompany: Alex Fort WorthAbout the RoleAlex Fort Worth is seeking to hire a highly experienced Surveying Manager to lead and oversee all surveying activities across our project sites. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate site measurements, mapping, documentation of existing buildings, machinery, buried elements, and all other site features, while maintaining full compliance with engineering and construction standards.The ideal candidate will lead survey teams, manage surveying data and deliverables, and coordinate closely with engineers, contractors, clients, and owner representatives to support accurate and efficient project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam LeadershipSupervise, mentor, and support surveyors and surveying technicians.Assign tasks to the surveying team and ensure effective collaboration across multiple projects and sites.Monitor performance and ensure surveying works are completed accurately and on schedule.Survey Planning & ExecutionDevelop surveying plans, scope, and methodologies for all assigned sites.Conduct and supervise fieldwork using GPS, total stations, laser scanners, and other surveying equipment.Verify site boundaries, legal records, and historical survey data.Prepare the initial As-Built drawings for all existing site elements prior to the commencement of work.Ensure receipt of accurate surveying data from all relevant parties.Verify that all installed parts and components are positioned in their correct locations.Prepare final As-Built drawings for all completed elements and works.Data ManagementOversee data collection, processing, validation, and quality control.Ensure all surveying outputs comply with project requirements, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate and updated surveying records and documentation.Project CoordinationPrepare surveying reports and coordinate in line with site right-of-way plans.Present survey findings to the Construction Manager and upper management.Collaborate with the Construction Manager to integrate survey data into design updates, where applicable.Provide technical surveying support to project teams to facilitate proper planning and execution.Administrative DutiesMaintain and supervise the updating of project surveying documentation and deliverables.Assist the Construction Manager in communicating with owner representatives regarding all surveying-related matters.Ensure all surveying documentation is properly organized, controlled, and issued on time.Why Join Alex Fort Worth?Join a dynamic team working on challenging industrial projects where precision, technical excellence, and collaboration are highly valued. Education & Technical BackgroundBachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.Professional certification or license is an added advantage.Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in surveying.Previous experience in industrial projects is highly preferred.Hands-on experience in mechanical projects is mandatory.Strong knowledge of geodesy, mapping software, and CAD tools.Proficiency in surveying instruments, including GPS, total stations, and laser scanners.SkillsStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams across multiple sites.Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.High attention to detail in measurements, calculations, and data validation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to resolve technical surveying challenges and boundary-related issues.Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders at the same time.Key ChallengesEnsuring the highest level of accuracy, as minor measurement errors can lead to costly construction issues.Maintaining compliance with local land laws, project requirements, and engineering standards.Keeping up to date with new surveying technologies and tools.Balancing technical precision with project timelines, operational needs, and budget limitations.
