Teaching Assistant – Physics

The department of Physics at the German University in Cairo seeks applicants for a full-time position of Teaching Assistant. The department invites candidates for an exquisite opportunity to become engaged in an interactive teaching environment.Position Description Assist in the delivery of undergraduate Physics courses offered to Engineering and Pharmacy students. Conduct tutorial sessions, laboratory classes and other instructional activities in accordance with departmental requirements. Support students’ academic development by fostering critical thinking, analytical skills and active engagement with course material. Contribute to the preparation, grading, and evaluation of coursework, assignments, laboratory reports and examinations. Participate in the continuous enhancement of teaching methodologies and learning resources. Engage in research activities within one of the Department’s research areas and contribute to ongoing basic and/or applied research projects including interdisciplinary collaborations with other departments. Support departmental, faculty and university initiatives through administrative and organizational duties as assigned. Contribute to academic and student-related activities that promote the Department’s educational and research objectives.Qualifications Bachelor/master's degree in physics. “Excellent” or “Very Good” graduation grade. from 1 to 3 years’ experience in teaching Physics courses at university/college level. Very good English skills Excellent communication skills Good organizational, time management, communication, problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
