The business is investing heavily in modern data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and scalable DevOps capabilities to enable data-driven decision-making at scale.As part of its continued growth, the organisation is building out a cutting-edge data platform within its Digital & Technology function, leveraging Azure and Databricks to empower teams across the business to develop, deploy, and manage data products efficiently and securely.The RoleThe organisation is seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead - Azure DevOps & Infrastructure.This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes, with a strong focus on Azure Databricks environments.The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for DevOps and infrastructure, working closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to translate architectural vision into practical, scalable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesMandatory Technologies (Non-negotiable):AzureDatabricksTerraformTechnical Leadership & DeliveryDesign, build, and evolve CI/CD pipelines and Azure-based data platform environmentsLead infrastructure automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)Oversee and optimise Azure services, including Databricks and related components (Data Factory, Data Lake, etc.)Translate architectural guidelines into actionable implementation plansEnsure platform reliability, security, performance, and cost optimisationAct as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholdersSupport platform operations, incident management, and continuous improvement initiativesPeople Leadership & CollaborationPartner with Product Managers to prioritise and deliver backlog itemsProvide technical direction and ownership for the DevOps & Infrastructure teamMentor engineers and promote engineering best practicesSupport onboarding, team development, and capability growthSet objectives, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviewsFoster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team cultureRequired Skills & Experience6+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or software engineeringStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud servicesProven production experience with Azure Databricks and data platform environmentsDeep expertise in Terraform and GitStrong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (YAML-based systems)Solid understanding of Azure networking and secure connectivity (VNets, subnets, private endpoints)Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Strong knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps, and cloud architecture principlesExperience leading technical teams and managing engineersStrong stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skillsNice to HaveExperience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, or similar servicesFamiliarity with monitoring/security tools (e.g. Dynatrace, SonarCloud, AquaSecurity)Azure or Databricks certificationsExperience working in SAFe / Agile environmentsFamiliarity with Azure DevOps for backlog and delivery managementExperience with enterprise ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)What’s on OfferCompetitive salary: 1.5M - 2.0M EGP (depending on experience)Hybrid working model (4 days onsite in Cairo)Private healthcare, annual bonus plus more benefitsTransportation / Car AllowanceLong-term career growth in a stable, well-funded organisation
