Good Wood continues to grow its regional footprint, exporting to countries such as Libya, Sudan, Jordan, and South Africa and planning further expansion across Arab and foreign markets.Role Description The Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in El Sadat City. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and updating shop drawings to align with project specifications, standards, and design requirements. The Technical Office Engineer will participate in preparing and checking Bills of Quantities (BOQs), coordinating with project, procurement, and production teams to ensure accuracy of quantities and material requirements. Daily responsibilities include performing quantity surveying tasks, verifying site measurements, resolving technical discrepancies, and supporting cost control efforts. The role also requires coordination with civil and electrical engineering teams, responding to technical queries, and maintaining organized documentation and reports for ongoing and upcoming projects.Qualifications Strong technical skills in preparing and reviewing Shop Drawings, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.Proficiency in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, and Quantity Surveying to support accurate costing and resource planning.Educational background in Civil Engineering, with practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.Familiarity with Electrical Engineering concepts as they relate to coordination of multidisciplinary drawings and project interfaces.Proficiency in CAD and relevant engineering software; strong MS Office (Excel, Word) skills.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Previous experience in a technical office role within manufacturing, construction, or wood/finishing industries is an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to work accurately under time constraints.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with site, design, and production teams.
