Overview: Leads and manages the Technical Office team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of engineering drawings, documentation and submittals for all projects. Oversees the coordination between the technical office, site teams, consultants and clients to ensure technical compliance, cost efficiency and smooth project execution, ensuring that all design, quantity and documentation work meets company and project standards.Key Responsibilities:· Lead and supervise the Technical Office team (Senior and Junior Engineers) to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of all technical documents.· Review and approve design drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and RFIs prior to submission to consultants.· Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants to resolve design or technical issues.· Ensure all drawings and submittals comply with project specifications, standards, and design requirements.· Review BOQ, quantity take-offs, and material estimates to ensure cost accuracy and consistency.· Oversee the preparation and updating of engineering logs, RFI trackers, submittal logs, and documentation systems.· Monitor and control the progress of technical office deliverables to align with project schedules.· Support the Operations Manager and project teams in technical planning and design coordination meetings.· Prepare the company pre-qualification, ensuring it is regularly updated in coordination with the Operations team and that the latest approved version is consistently stored on the company server.· Support tendering activities for new projects by reviewing tender documents, preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates in coordination with operations, compiling technical and commercial submissions and submitting quotations to management for review and approval before sending finalized quotations to clients within specified deadlines.· Ensure timely communication and coordination between technical office and site teams.· Supervise and review subcontractor shop drawings and technical submissions.· Participate in value engineering activities to optimize materials, design solutions, and cost.· Conduct periodic reviews of design revisions and incorporate consultant feedback accordingly.· Maintain organized filing and document control systems for all project technical records.· Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to the Technical Office team.· Prepare technical reports, presentations, and summaries for management and client meetings.· Review and validate company projects and subcontractors’ contracts, variations and invoices from a technical perspective, ensuring accuracy of quantities, rates, scope alignment and compliance with contract terms before submission to management and Finance.· Prepare, review and support the submission of project claims and price variation claims in coordination with Operations and Finance teams, ensuring proper technical justification, documentation and timely submission in accordance with contractual requirements.Qualifications and Requirements · Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.· 7-10 years of experience in technical office or design coordination, including at least 3–5 years in a senior or lead role. · Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adapt, RAM, and other structural design or drafting software. · Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and BOQ.· Knowledge of material submittal procedures and project documentation.· Experience in managing teams and reviewing submittals and shop drawings.· Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
