Telecom Design Team Leader

JOB PURPOSEEnsure executing optimized telecommunication engineering system for rail projects fully integrated andcomplying with industry standards and contractual obligations.Roles & Responsibilities1. Supervise and review project bid specifications, Customer Requirements (RFP), performancestandards and technical studies and provide technical feedback to improve performance.2. Coordinate and supervise all activities of telecom system design to ensure alignment with clientrequirements, industry standards, and quality regulations.3. Create detailed technical documentation for engineering design activities, including CAD drawingreview and development and present progress reports to direct managers and all relevantstakeholders4. Manage various systems, including Fiber Optics, Multiservice Network, Radio CommunicationSystem (GSM-R & LTE), CCTV, Telephone, Time Distribution, Public Address, Passenger InformationSystem, and Recording System to ensure optimized operation.5. Troubleshoot any issues identified during the design process and provide technical support toresolve problems and enhance system performance.6. Collaborate with construction and interface teams to ensure that telecom system design, technicaldocuments, drawings and proposals are developed correctly and according to client requirements.7. Lead the team, provide required guidance and support, and foster a collaborative and high-performanceworking environment.8. Review Telecom submissions (e.g., Design and Installation drawings, planning documentation,Inspection, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), procedures and reports)provided by the contractor and provide technical feedback to improve performance.9. Develop and implement rigorous quality processes to ensure that all project designs andimplementations comply with relevant codes and industry specific standards of performance.10. Ensure that the deliverables from the Contractor meet project requirements, specifications, andthe intended Design.11. Adhere to safety and security standards, ensuring that telecom designs support cybersecurityrequirements and transportation safety protocols.12. Conduct site surveys and assessments to oversee the installations progress, witness factory/sitetests and identify any vulnerabilities.13. Conduct comprehensive assessments to highlight critical issues, identify any technical challengesand all the risks related to design compliance, project execution, quality assurance and budget.14. Prepare and present technical and project progress reports highlighting project milestones andcompliance with timelines to senior management and stakeholders.15. Provide technical support and consultation to the client to ensure timely and accurate projectcompletion.16. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and complying withproject specifications.17. Pursue new technologies and methods to include innovative solutions into design practices thatimprove system performance and maintain competitiveness.18. Ensure that employee is working according to the company HSE policies and regulations, and fullyaware of his job risk assessment and environmental aspects.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTSEducation/ Qualifications B.SC in Electrical Communication EngineeringProfessional Certification ICT: CCNA – RCDD or equivalentWork Experience: 7-10 Years of Experience in design and implementation of Telecomsystems (ICT/ELV) in rail projects.- Broad knowledge of ICT, Network, Storage and Security Systems- In depth experience in ELV and Industrial Automation SystemsLanguage Excellent command of English languageComputer SkillsMicrosoft OfficeOracle ACONEX Platform
