Job Purpose:To develop, validate, and control tender cost estimates for transformer manufacturing projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all cost inputs. The role acts as the single source of truth for tender cost figures submitted for management approval and supports competitive, profitable, and compliant tender submissions.Key Responsibilities:Tender Cost Ownership• Own the total tender cost number submitted for internal approval.• Act as the single source of truth for all tender cost versions.• Maintain full traceability from RFQ receipt to final cost submission.Cost Data Validation & Integration• Validate and consolidate cost inputs from Technical Office, Planning, Costing, and Procurement.• Translate preliminary Bills of Materials (BOMs) into detailed cost line items in coordination with Sales Support, Procurement, and the Technical Office.• Validate man-hour and machinery estimates received from Planning and apply standard labor rates.• Validate supplier quotations received from Procurement for scope coverage, Incoterms, validity, and alignment with approved vendor lists (where applicable).Cost Assumptions & Benchmarks• Apply escalation, currency exchange, and logistics cost assumptions in line with company guidelines.• Maintain and apply material cost benchmarks when supplier quotations are not available.• Reject incomplete, inconsistent, or assumption-light cost submissions.Tender Control & Governance• Prepare structured cost summaries and supporting breakdowns for management approval.• Ensure proper version control across all tender iterations.• Ensure cost models comply with internal financial and commercial governance rules.Post-Award Cost Feedback• Compare estimated versus actual costs for awarded tenders.• Analyze deviations and update cost databases and estimation logic accordingly.• Feed cost performance learnings back to Technical Office and Planning to improve future estimates.Stakeholder Coordination• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales Support, Technical Office, Planning, Procurement, Finance) to ensure accurate and timely submission of required costing inputs.•Support clarification and negotiation phases by providing detailed cost breakdowns when required.Qualification & Education:• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.• Years of Experience: 5–7 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or costing within manufacturing or EPC environmentsTechnical competencies:• Cost estimation and modeling• BOM interpretation• Manufacturing process costing• Supplier quotation analysis• Labor and machine rate application• Financial and commercial awareness• Advanced Excel and ERP costing modulesInterpersonal Competencies:• High attention to detail• Analytical thinking• Assertiveness and professional challenge• Accountability• Cross-functional collaboration• Time management under deadlines
