Textile Designer

Key Responsibilities:Develop original textile and fabric designs based on market trends and customer requirements.Research fashion, textile, and color trends to generate new design ideas.Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and seasonal collections.Develop CAD designs using textile design software.Coordinate with the sampling and production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to support customer requests and product development.Select suitable yarns, weaves, colors, and finishing techniques for new developments.Review fabric samples and recommend modifications to improve aesthetics and functionality.Maintain design libraries, artwork files, and technical specifications.Ensure designs comply with quality standards and production capabilities.Participate in customer meetings when required to present design concepts.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Applied Arts, Textile Engineering, or a related field.1–3 years of experience in textile or fabric design..Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and textile CAD softwareKnowledge of fabric construction, weaving techniques, yarn types, and textile finishing.Understanding of color theory and color matching.Familiarity with textile manufacturing processes.Soft SkillsCreativity and innovation.Strong attention to detail.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Time management and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
