Utilities Engineer (Ammonia Section)

Responsibilities:Conduct mechanical maintenance activities on all utility's equipment, contributing to the attainment of monthly and annual production targets and assisting in trouble shooting and improvement of plant reliability.Ability to troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.Experience in the field of refrigeration, with a focus on ammonia systems. Possessing a solid understanding of electrical systems and their application in industrial refrigeration.Contribute to optimizing the Energy.Monitor the running hours of each single equipment related to utilities department and act accordingly to make its related maintenance.Assure the needed spares for the routine maintenance and communicate with the planners accordingly to adapt its availability time.Familiar of dealing with different types of all related equipment and items like ammonia refrigeration systems compressors, blowers, pumps, fans, cooling towers, piping, regulators, valves, gates, … etc.Perform all preventive mechanical maintenance activities, including major shutdowns to establish standards of quality production and reliability are met, within agreed cost parametersProvide mechanical engineering assistance to plant personnel across manufacturing process to diffuse technical knowledge and expertise for running the machinery more optimally by minimizing technical troubles and improving the plant performance towards world class levelsMonitor and evaluate the efficiency of the maintenance activities by providing analytical reporting of results, including services from external suppliers, focusing on identifying areas for improvement to identify the most suitable suppliers of spare parts and services that meet company standardsCooperate with technical and other internal departments, for information exchange aiming to develop effective work relationships and increase maintenance effectivenessContribute to the definition of spare parts list and determination of spare parts ordering and stock levels to ensure maintenance of plant operational efficiency by reviewing such levels periodicallyUpload all relevant information to the computer monitored maintenance systemReview the spare parts received from suppliers by securing that they meet company standards and operational needsReview and evaluate in cooperation with the production department the operating conditions of the plant by identifying and preventing malfunctions to provide solutions for improvementParticipate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needsProactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performanceEnsure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing training, monitoring compliance etc.Carry out periodic and preventive maintenance for refrigeration systems and ammonia compressors.Monitor pressure readings, temperatures, and oil levels, and adjust them according to the specified standards.Inspect refrigeration and condensation circuits, detect faults, and repair them quickly and efficiently.Prepare daily and periodic performance reports and analyze operational efficiency and energy consumption.Ensure the implementation of safety instructions related to ammonia use and proper handling in cases of leakage or emergencies.Supervise the technicians’ team, distribute tasks, and follow up on the accurate execution of work.Review and correct piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).Contribute to the development and improvement of refrigeration systems and enhancing their operational efficiency.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering.1-2 years of experience, preferably in the food industry/FMCG manufacturing.Ammonia Section is MUST Location: 10th of Ramadan, Sharkia, Egypt
