If you're driven by purpose and motivated to make an impact, we'd love to have you on our team.Purpose of the RoleGeneral ledger assistant manager leads general ledger entries and financial statements reconciliation, ensuring that the ledger data is accurate and precise, involving in the monthly financial statement close, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, annual audit, accounting and other financial systems, and accounting policies, procedures, and controls. The role will have significant interaction with the Controller, FP&A Manager, and other operational stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts to ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations.Analyzing GL financial data and providing financial recommendations to the top managementManage monthly close process including financial analysis and financial reportingSupervise and lead a team of staff in handling day-to-day financial matters, including accounts closing, grant claims, taxes and audit related tasksCreates and processes monthly journal entries and maintains and updates prepaid/deferred schedulesReview bank reconciliations and corporate credit card reconciliationsResolve all escalated queries and disputes with appropriate stakeholders to maintain internal customer satisfaction and to drive individual GL processesMaintain integrity of the General Ledger reconciliations to appropriate sub-ledgers and supporting documents including month end reconciliation to the General LedgerManage the GL team’s workload and assign priorities as neededManage the variance analysis, budget v/s actual, cost-center summary and Audit supportProvide periodical financial reportsWhat We’re Looking For:Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, major in Finance or Accounting.Master’s degree in finance, Accounting or EconomicsExperience: 7-9 years of solid experience, at least 2 Proven years of experience in supervisory positionJob Specific Skills: Excellent analytical skills, the ability to perform complex financial analyses and modelling.Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systemExceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationshipsShould have good experience in General Ledger accounting and knowledge of GAAP and internal controls Excellent command of English verbal and writtenGeneric Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate and deal effectively with all levels of an organizationBusiness acumen and excellent communication skills.Proven efficiency in dealing with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces Proven resources management, people management and leadership skills
