DescriptionThis position works collaboratively with a full-time Nurse Practitioner and a dedicated healthcare team to deliver holistic and continuous healthcare services at the Tulane Doctors' Clinic in Alexandria, Louisiana. The clinic serves an underserved community, focusing on providing high-quality, patient-centered care.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive healthcare services to immunocompromised patients, emphasizing disease prevention and health promotion.Deliver a range of outpatient healthcare services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, routine checkups, health-risk assessments, screening tests, immunizations, and patient counseling.Diagnose and treat illnesses while managing chronic conditions in collaboration with specialty physicians to ensure coordinated care for patients.Offer screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and Hepatitis C.Focus exclusively on outpatient care, with no inpatient responsibilities.QualificationsIdeal Candidate Qualifications:Licensure: Holds a current MD license in the state of Louisiana and is in good standing with the Louisiana State Medical Board, or is eligible for licensure in Louisiana and in good standing with their current licensure board.Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a practicing physician is required.
