Backend NodeJs Developer

Purpose of the Job:Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js to support reliable, high-performance applications and seamless data management.Responsibilities and Duties:Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and frameworks such as Express and NestJSWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code using JavaScript and TypeScriptDesign and optimize relational database schemas, preferably using PostgreSQLMaintain, refactor, and enhance existing codebases to improve performance and scalabilityImplement and maintain automated tests using frameworks such as Jest or VitestTroubleshoot and debug issues across development and production environmentsCollaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutionsFollow best practices for code quality, version control, and deployment processes.Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science or any equivalent degree in a relevant field.Experience:Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js.Skills and Abilities:Strong knowledge of Node.js and backend frameworks such as Express and NestJSSolid understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQLHands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScriptExperience with testing frameworks such as Jest or VitestUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processesFamiliarity with Docker and containerization conceptsKnowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plusFamiliarity with AI coding tools and best practices for leveraging themStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to write maintainable, scalable, and testable code
