SummaryThe Architectural BIM Engineer is responsible for creating, developing, and managing high-quality BIM models for architectural elements throughout all project stages—from concept to construction and as-built. The role ensures accurate digital representation of architectural design, supports coordination with other disciplines, and maintains compliance with BIM standards, project requirements, and industry best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and update detailed Architectural BIM models using Revit in alignment with project design and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).Prepare architectural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and detailed views.Maintain the required Level of Development (LOD) based on project stage (LOD 300–500).Create architectural families, parametric components, and detailed elements as required.Collaborate with architects, structural, and MEP teams to ensure coordinated and clash-free models.Perform architectural clash detection using tools such as Navisworks and resolve conflicts.Support the design team by updating model changes from consultants, contractors, and site.Ensure all architectural documentation follows BIM standards, templates, and naming conventions.Produce coordinated architectural shop drawings, tender drawings, and as-built drawings.Conduct quality audits on architectural models to ensure accuracy and consistency.Provide the site team with updated models and drawings for construction activities.Assist in generating quantity take-offs, area calculations, and material schedules from BIM models.Address design discrepancies through RFIs and coordinate with consultants for clarification.Update BIM model based on design revisions, site instructions, or client comments.Support BIM Lead/BIM Manager in implementing BIM workflows and project-specific standards.Collaborate in BIM coordination meetings and contribute to model-related decision-making.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in architectural engineering2–7 years of experience as an Architectural BIM Modeler/Engineer in construction or consultancy firms.Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Architecture) — mandatory.Experience with Navisworks Manage for clash detection.Skilled in AutoCAD, BIM360, and other BIM collaboration platforms.Understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction methods.Core CompetenciesAbility to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.Strong knowledge of BIM workflows, LOD concepts, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
