BIM Team Lead (Architect)

The BIM Team Lead (Architect) is responsible for leading the BIM team and overseeing the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality BIM models, shop drawings, and related project documentation. The role ensures effective multi-disciplinary coordination, supports construction planning and execution, and guarantees that all BIM deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with project requirements. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and coordination skills across design and construction teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead BIM coordination meetings and ensure proper documentation of decisions, actions, and follow-ups.Manage preconstruction and BIM coordination meetings, resolving design and site-related issues.Coordinate BIM models across internal disciplines and subcontractor detailers/modellers, ensuring clash-free and fully coordinated models.Oversee review and approval of shop drawing-level models and BIM deliverables.Support construction teams in planning, sequencing, and project execution activities.Ensure timely production of BIM models, coordinated drawings, and technical documentation.Prepare and review drawing sets for internal use, client submission, and construction purposes.Assist project teams with quantity extraction, material estimation, and construction planning where required.Develop and review 3D models and detailed shop drawings for field implementation.Ensure compliance with BIM standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.Maintain accurate records of BIM activities, including team progress, deliverables, and reporting.Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of BIM outputs with project objectives.Mentor and guide BIM team members to enhance technical capability and productivityRequired Skills & KnowledgeMinimum 8+ years of professional experience in BIM and architectural coordination.Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering (Architectural discipline preferred).Strong proficiency in BIM software, including Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.Solid understanding of architectural design principles, engineering coordination, and BIM methodologies.Strong capability in managing complex BIM models and ensuring design intent is accurately represented.Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.Strong problem-solving abilities for BIM coordination and technical challenges.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is an advantage.
