The person in this role will design, configure, and implement Building Management Systems (BMS), ensuring integration with building services such as HVAC, lighting, and security systems. Daily tasks include reviewing project specifications and drawings, preparing BMS layouts and control strategies, selecting and configuring controllers and field devices, and coordinating with design, site, and project management teams. The role involves monitoring system installation and commissioning, troubleshooting issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The Building Management Systems Engineer will also support facility management teams by providing technical guidance, system documentation, and training for operation and maintenance staff.QualificationsStrong knowledge of Building Management and Building Management Systems, including design, configuration, integration, and commissioning.Experience with Management Systems and Building Services, particularly HVAC, electrical, lighting, and life safety systems.Familiarity with Facility Management (FM) practices and the role of BMS in supporting efficient building operation and maintenance.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.Proficiency in BMS software platforms, control logic, and communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and control diagrams.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and system reliability.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project and site teams.Previous experience in consultancy, construction, or building services engineering is preferred.Commitment to quality, safety, and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
