Job Purpose:To ensure that all commercial offers and customer commitments are aligned with actual manufacturing capacity and quality assurance requirements by integrating capacity planning with production scheduling. The role safeguards the factory from overload, prevents capacity overbooking, and enforces buffer periods between internal testing and FAT to protect product quality and company reputation.Key Responsibilities:Commercial Capacity Planning• Translate commercial demand (RFQs and offers) into preliminary manufacturing capacity requirements.• Validate the availability of manufacturing slots before offers are issued to customers (fully or partially).• Prevent overbooking of production capacity by enforcing capacity allocation rules at offering stage.• Maintain visibility of future load versus available capacity across all production lines.• Define and control commercial booking limits in coordination with Production Planning.Manufacturing Slot Allocation at Offering Stage• Ensure that each commercial offer includes a realistic manufacturing slot based on:– Current factory load– Planned production– Technical complexity– Resource availability• Block or reserve tentative manufacturing slots for high-probability offers.• Ensure that overlapping delivery promises are avoided through controlled slot assignment.Quality & FAT Buffer Governance• Enforce mandatory buffer periods between internal testing and FAT based on project type and sensitivity.• Integrate the buffer time into manufacturing plans and commercial delivery dates.• Ensure sufficient time is allocated for issue correction, retesting, and stabilization prior to FAT.• Protect company quality standards and customer reputation by preventing unrealistic FAT commitments.Bid & Offer Governance• Review and validate delivery timelines and manufacturing assumptions included in commercial offers.• Challenge Sales and Tendering teams when delivery commitments are not aligned with factory realities.• Ensure compliance with the new commercial planning policy before offers are released.• Support bid strategy by proposing alternative delivery scenarios when capacity is constrained.Cross-Functional Coordination• Act as the single coordination point between commercial commitments and manufacturing execution.• Facilitate alignment between commercial priorities and operational feasibility.Monitoring & Reporting• Maintain a rolling commercial load versus capacity plan.• Monitor future delivery commitments and risk exposure.• Report factory overload risks, bottlenecks, and delivery conflicts to management.• Prepare capacity utilization and commercial planning dashboards for leadership.Continuous Improvement• Analyze historical overload cases and identify root causes.• Improve planning logic and slot allocation rules over time.• Support the development and implementation of the Commercial Planning Policy.• Benchmark planning practices with other sectors and factories (e.g., Indonesia model).Job Requirements:• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.• Years of Experience: 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing planning, production, or project execution.Technical competencies:• Manufacturing planning and capacity modeling• Project complexity assessment• Understanding of FAT, internal testing, and quality workflows• Commercial delivery date structuring• Risk and bottleneck analysis• ERP and planning tools• Advanced Excel and reporting toolsInterpersonal Competencies:• Assertiveness and professional challenge• Structured decision-making• Accountability• High attention to detail• Stakeholder influence without authority• Strong communication skills• Risk awareness mindset
