Charge Up OperatorSukari is located approximately 750km from Cairo and 25km from Marsa Alam on the Red Sea. First gold was poured in June 2009 and commercial production began in April 2010, making Sukari the first modern gold mine in Egypt, a country which in ancient times was a prolific producer of the precious metal. Sukari conducts both open-pit and underground mining operations, each employing specialized mining methods tailored to the orebody characteristics and operational requirements. The Role We are looking for a qualified Charge Up Operator to execute critical underground charging activities. In this role, you will safely receive, prepare, and load explosives according to approved blast designs, ensuring optimal fragmentation while maintaining airtight risk controls and seamless team coordination.Location: On-site in Marsa AlamContract Type: Permanent, full-timeSchedule: 20/10 working rosterCompensation: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package The Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and verify the quantities and types of daily explosive issues and accessories prior to use to ensure integrity and correct material availability. Load blast holes according to approved blast plans, firing sequences, correct charging patterns, primer placements, and stemming requirements. Maintain clear radio communication with supervisors and crews to manage access control, charging progress, and blast readiness. Complete pre-use checks, clean charging equipment/vehicles, and report any defects or consumable needs. Follow all site procedures and legal requirements for transporting and handling explosives, utilize proper PPE, manage exclusion zones, and stop work immediately if critical safety controls are ineffective. Comply with and promote SGM's Sustainability Policy and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures, reporting any environmental incidents or spills immediately The Requirements High school certificate (or equivalent) with functional literacy and numeracy. Technical or vocational training in mining operations or drill & blast support is preferred.3–5 years of experience in underground production environments, including exposure to charging or drill & blast support, alongside a demonstrated safe work record.Valid Blasting Certificate / Explosives Handling License.Valid driving license.Site explosives authorizations/permits required.Professional business/technical Arabic for frontline safety communication, and operational working English for documentation, reporting, and safety communication.Medically fit for underground work
