By combining technology, smart financial infrastructure, and trusted partnerships, Farida empowers people to grow their wealth through property, together.About the RoleThe Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the entire accounting department, ensuring the ultimate accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company’s financial records. This role leads the closing processes, manages the accounting team, and ensures that all financial reporting aligns with international financial reporting standards (IFRS/EAS) and local regulatory requirements. The Chief Accountant acts as a key bridge between the execution of daily accounting and strategic financial management, providing critical data to the Finance Manager/CFO.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight & Management: Supervise, review, and approve the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.Financial Reporting: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Prepare, analyze, and present consolidated financial statements and management reports in a timely manner.Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the accounting team (general accountants, AP/AR clerks), ensuring a clear distribution of tasks and robust skill development.Audit & Compliance: Act as the primary focal point for internal and external auditors. Prepare all necessary schedules, analyze variances, and ensure smooth, penalty-free audit completions.Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee compliance with all local tax laws (Corporate, VAT, Payroll, WHT) and regulatory filings. Supervise tax submissions and represent the company during tax inspections.Fixed Assets & Treasury Review: Authorize fixed asset registers, capitalization policies, depreciation schedules, and review complex bank and intercompany reconciliations.Internal Controls: Design, implement, and enforce strict internal accounting controls and policies to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.Cash Flow Management: Monitor and review daily cash flow, operating accounts, and working capital requirements, reporting trends and forecasts to management.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
